Today it is widely recognized that information systems knowledge is essential for managers as most organizations need information systems to survive and prosper. An information system has many applications, MIS is one of them. Management information systems (MIS) is a specific category of information system that provides the required information to the management on a regular basis. It can be defined as collecting and processing of raw data into useful information and its dissemination to the user in the required format. In fact a full MIS includes all the systems that are designed to furnish management with information to assist in making decisions and to manage organizations efficiently and effectively.

The Role of SME Financing in the Development of Women Entrepreneurship is very important for overall economic development of a country particularly for developing countries like Bangladesh. As a labor intensive sector, it can provide a handsome total of national income and generation of employment rapidly in attaining Millennium development Goals (MDGs) and a faster & sustainable economic growth. Eradication of extreme poverty and hunger, gender equality and especially women empowerment process has been already triggered by this sector. Terming SME as ‘employment generating machine’, our neighboring countries have also given due importance on SMEs.

This report is prepared as a requirement of the internship of BBA program of the Northern University Bangladesh. This report focuses three months working experiences in Azimpur Branch, Uttara Bank Limited. This report will give a clear idea about the activities and operational strategies of UBL.
