The study of this report is focused on how the Human Resource Management (HRM) Practices at Eastern Bank Limited are carried out. Eastern Bank Limited (EBL), one of the most prominent banks of Bangladesh, commenced its journey in 1992 as the successor of former Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI). EBL’s vision is to be the ‘Bank of Choice’ in Bangladesh. In achieving this vision, EBL realizes the importance of taking due care of all the constituents, particularly the shareholders, customers and workforce. The most carefully formulated plans, the most logical organizational structure, the most sophisticated marketing programs, and the most advanced computer systems will not, of themselves assure an organization success. Plans, structures, programs and systems are not self actuating, they can only be implemented, maintained and realized through people. Its people – the most crucial resources – who serve as the catalyst, the activating and energizing force, making possible the utilization of all other resources and enabling an organization to achieve its goals.

Economy is the strength of any country’s development and the expansion power with the rapid growth of sustainability. So retain this sustainability is the core jingle of any country in today. Bank is the major and supreme actor of this development and sustainability. Commercial bank plays an imperative role in the economic development of a nation through the fluctuation of interest rate where we know that this interest rate is the major role player in a financial growth. So it is more crucial for an economy to judge this interest rate fluctuation in a hasty movement and adjust this fluctuation with the proper way of monetary policy. Specifically Central Bank of our Country i.e. Bangladesh Bank always put their attention in this interest rate and try to adjust this interest rate through the controlling inflation and recession. And commercial banks of Bangladesh play this role directly and indirectly in various economic sectors with adequate supervision and monitoring of Central Bank which ultimately led to the economic solvency or net worth of financial institution as well as economical growth of a country.

It was established under Bank Company Act, 1991 and was incorporated as a Public Limited Company under Companies Act, 1994 on August 8, 1992. The Bank started commercial banking operations from August 16, 1992.
Internship Report On Credit Management of Eastern Bank Limited
Credit risk is one of the most vital
risks for any commercial bank. Credit risk arises from non performance by a
borrower. It may arise from either an inability or an unwillingness to perform
in the pre-commitment contracted manner. The real risk from credit is the
deviation of portfolio performance from its expected value. The credit risk of
a bank is also effect the book value of a bank. The more credit of a particular
is in risk, the more probability of a bank to be insolvent. Therefore, the
status of depositor in the bank is at risk and probability of incurring loss
from their deposited value. In other way the risky of a commercial bank is
calculated through long term and short term rating by the credit rating
agencies.
In my whole report, I was working on the
credit risk of Eastern Bank Limited. During the preparation of the report, I
provide the last six years information of EBL from 2005-2010. In the whole
