A Report on Investment Trend and Social Impact-Shahjalal Islami Bank

As a student of business administration analysis today’s business word is very crucial to observe in this complex situation. It is necessary to go through all fields of knowledge, both theoretical and practical. After passing 4 years BBA program, I was send out to have practical knowledge in business life as a part of my academic program.

The banking system plays a vital role in economic sector of a country. The Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited´ was incorporated as a public limited company as on 1st day of April 2001 under the Companies Act.1994.This bank there have dissident type of product and services. I have done my internship in Shahjalal Islami Bank ltd and my topic was the “Investment trend and Social impact of Shahjalal Islami Bank”. Investment sector is a important element for every Bank because it will be effect on growth rate of a Bank.

The report contains (4) chapters. The first chapter of the report describes the inductor words of internship report while the second chapter is all about the organization and used in the preparation of the report. The third chapter contains the analysis and findings of Investment trend and social impact of Shahjalal Islami Bank. The including chapter bearing number four contains the findings during the three months long internship period, recommendation based on the findings and overall conclusion.

Report on Dynamic Asset Allocation

A successful stock market in a developing economy can provides a major source of financial development both by channeling domestic savings and attracting foreign investment. However, this objective is not always met, particularly in a risky stock market due to underlying some problems of the capital market. A study of dynamic asset allocation gives valuable information about share price such as when a security is in a risky position,when a security is in a booming position, when to buy risk free asset ,when to sell risky asset .It is the way of equity risk management.It insures the portfolio. Without sound and efficient dynamic asset allocation strategy, rapid economic development could be hampered as capital market provides long term funds to entrepreneurs. Further, the capital market Bangladesh is still underdeveloped, in spite of recent initiatives.

Report On Stress Testing of Uttara Bank limited

Stress testing is a simulation technique, which are used to determine the reactions of different financial institutions under a set of exceptional, but plausible assumptions through a series of battery of tests. At institutional level, stress testing techniques provide a way to quantify the impact of changes in a number of risk factors on the assets and liabilities portfolio of the institution. These tests help the regulators to identify structural vulnerabilities and the overall risk exposure that could cause disruption of financial markets. Its prominence is on potential externalities and market failures. But one of the limitations of this technique is that stress tests do not account for the probability of occurrence of these exceptional events.There are three techniques of stress testing. These are: a) Simple Sensitivity Analysis, b) Scenario Analysis & c) Extreme Value/ Maximum Shock Scenario. Stress test shall be carried out assuming three different hypothetical scenarios. These are major, moderate & minor level of shocks.Uttara Bank is one of the largest and oldest private-sector commercial bank in Bangladesh, with years of experience. Adaptation of modern technology both in terms of equipment and banking practice ensures efficient service to clients. 211 branches at home and 600 affiliates worldwide create efficient networking and reach capability. Swine Flu-2009 Pandemic (H1N1) 2009 is a novel virus caused by quadruple reasserted variant of Influenza A H1N1 strain. This new virus strain causing influenza was documented for the first time in April, 2009 in Mexico, and rapidly spread through the Americas before extending to Europe, Asia and Oceania, WHO declared the disease a pandemic on 11 June 2009. Then the disease has spread throughout the South East Asia Region (SEARO) with India and Thailand particularly affected. In Bangladesh the first case of Pandemic (H1N1) 2009 Influenza was identified on 18 June 2009. Since then the cases are being suspected/reported from most parts of the country. The World Health Organization has stopped using the term "swine flu" to avoid confusion over the danger posed by pigs. The proper name is 'Pandemic (H1N1) 2009 Influenza'.

Report on Crisis of Trust in Governance in Bangladesh

The 21st Century is full of changes, which presents both opportunities and challenges to the field of public administration. Dealing with the myriads of anomalous situations including wars, transnational epidemics, terrorism, financial crises, serious security related accidents, and transportation casualties has become a very important part of the public administrators‘ daily work. While the traditional practice of public administration is becoming more difficult due to scientific and technological improvements, as well as economic globalization that has been complicating socio-economic development, emerging issues are bringing about enormous transformations and challenges to government administration. Within the public administration of Bangladesh trust is increasingly becoming a crucial element of performance. So there is a crisis of trust in governance of Bangladesh. The purpose of this paper is to examine patterns of popular trust in governance in Bangladesh. Trust explained as confidence or reliance on some person or quality, which are synonyms with the terms belief, confidence, and expectation. There is a relation of trust with governance and social capital. Strong social capital helps to build trust and trust helps to ensure good governance of a country. Trust matrixes also help us to learn the propensity to trust in public organization in Bangladesh. Benevolence, Reliability, efficiency, honesty and openness are five important faces of trust. With appropriate example we have discussed these faces broadly to know the level of trust of citizens in our country. Besides this three clusters of trust are defined: from society in the public sector (T1), from the public sector in society (T2) and within the public sector (T3). This discussion helped us to know who trust whom in our country. Here we apprise about the crisis of trust in governance in Bangladesh perspective. We have found that there is distrust in governance of Bangladesh.

Handicraft business is related to the accumulation of handmade product from over the country and to sell them in retail shops or to export in other countries. People have a great passion for this type of product because it contains flavor of culture and it has a variety of design. As an intern of MBA program I was assigned to make a study on the handicraft industry. As a result I decided to make a study on the overall aspect of this industry of Bangladesh to understand the prospect of Handicraft industry in Bangladesh. So the topic of this report is “Prospect of Handicraft Industry in Bangladesh”. The report was discussed with different dimensions like: the current scenario of Handicraft products, the current export countries or market, the current impediment of export, creation of self employment for the mass population, solutions to remove the existing problems, the ways of increasing export, the contribution level in the national economy, the required Government incentives to Handicraft export.

Airtel is one of the famous brands of Bangladesh which specialty is providing tale-service in Bangladesh. Mobile operator Warid has been changed to Airtel. From now Warid user is Airtel user. 2oth December 2010 Airtel launch their program in Bangladesh. Airtel has bought 70% share of Warid Telecom and its new name is Airtel Bangladesh Limited.

Airtel has developed there networking system across the country including rural areas for better service. Airtel is using same logo in Bangladesh which is also use in India for a global introduction. Airtel will give more facilities to its consumer. According to BTRC Airtel have four million users in Bangladesh.
